Sista in Service - We Honor Transitions Physically and Spiritually
Our practice has grown out of a desire to utilize our ancestral and traditional gifts to support Moms, Families and Individuals navigating Pregnancy, Birth Postpartum ,End of Life, Rebirth and beyond.
We offer mainstream support and ceremonial care based on predominately African American, African Diasporic Traditional Wisdom derived form our Elders, Black Granny Midwives and healers of the South, as well as the, Indigenous Healer Women of the Americas and the Caribbean,
You can find us prepared to support in hospital, home, the temple, the bush and almost wherever the work takes us.
We acknowlegde that all is sacred, we respect all living beings and believe all things have spirit. We acknowledge we were all once tribal and earth based people, and that every shade ation of humanity.
At Sista’s In Service we see puberty, menstruation, birth, labor, postpartum, menopause , release of life, spiritual rebirth and any major and transition as ceremony, rites of passage and we honor them as such.
The Doulas and Guides in our organization are dedicated to supporting these transitions to the best of our ability .
We aim to give grounded, fact based information in addition to compassion and caring assistance in the process of bringing a new version of you forward.
We support hold space and comfort you throughout those various phases .
We aim to be responsible and respectful of people's diverse cultures / identities and work with our clients to be sure they are prepared for good physical , mental , emotional and spiritual outcomes.
