Service Description

Flowering Youth Inspirited Young Womens Society is an ongoing program that focuses on traditional African /Black Indigenous reproductive health practices, rituals, ceremony and etiquette while exploring and integrating the connections between our global African- African Diasporic and Black Indigenous communities Course Objectives: To re connect to the blood memory and energy of our grandmothers. To listen to young female identified women about their concerns, feelings, experiences with their bodies in regards to coming of age, and being of age. To provide them with age appropriate reproductive education and tools for how to choose healthy relationships. 1. To educate young women about reproductive care 2. To teach about self care 3. To demonstrate and guide how to work with the elements and plant relatives 4. To demonstrate and guide how to lift and listen to our sisters. 5.To teach how to work as a team, and how to be a firm leader and supporter. 6. To remind young women that spiritual ceremony is their ancestral birth rite. 7. To educate about the diverse history and origins of traditional healing 8.Opportunity to be a continued support to future cohorts and develop community
